What? Where? Tri?

This weekend I did my first sprint Triathlon in Newton Iowa.  My brother-in-law Paul and I have been planning this for a few months and I believe we both are better people for do it.  Paul's brother, Aarron even joined in the fun and did the tri cold turkey (or no training).
The swimming was the only part that felt natural for me, but with extra practice I'll get better at the biking and running....a LOT of practice.
It was tons of fun to have Ted and the kids there to support me, plus my cute sister and her wonderful family cheering me on too.  Family is SO great!
Thanks Rindee for letting me use your bike, you're a life-savor.

P.S. To anybody reading this, Allie took 1st place in her age group!

p.p.s to anyone that is reading this post, 1st place is all relative to how many participants are competing...

Chris was telling Hillary a few weeks ago that you are the best competitor in the fam. All those at Bear Lake better watch out! Great job! Can't wait to see you soon.

ha, Thanks everyone, such loyal friends :)

Becca, Chris is my forever loyal brother and fan. As I am of him... however, I must disagree for fear of putting all my brothers on the look-out for me this summer. I am more a mother than an athlete and will in no wise be able to truly compete against them. With them for a minute or two, but in the end they will prevail, not doubt!
I can't wait to see you!

Allie! I am SO SUPER PROUD of you! This is INCREDIBLE! This makes me wonder if I could do this after the baby comes! You look super gorgeous and have such a cute family to support you! Good job! You are incredible!

Allie, I'm afraid none of you could possibly avoid the look-out of your siblings. The urge for competition is just to natural. Good luck to you all! ;)

Wow! You amaze me Allie! I remember a few months ago you posted about going to a spinning class, and to be honest, I was like "She's spinning her own yarn now? Wow that's crochet dedication..." It was like 5 hours later that I figured it out. :) You look gorgeous and incredible and wow! Teddy's one lucky man.
