Easter 2011

Easter was wonderful--small--simple--and wonderful!  

Saturday was an egg hunt worthy for Eskimos (brrrrrrr!)

 

 Yes, my children are color snobs... Chloe would ONLY pick up "pink" or "purple" eggs and Porter would ONLY put "green" eggs in his bag... and throw any other color.  However, any green egg Chloe would see, she'd pick it right up and take it to Porter... she's got her brother's back.

My sweet sister made these super cute dresses for my girls (just 'cuz she loves me!)  It was fun to match my little gals, we felt so Spring-y.

How Time flies!

Rainee,

This month we've loved getting to know our beautiful little girl.  From the beginning we've learned you are a huge fan of cuddling and swaddling (yea! finally a cudd'ler!). You're calm under pressure (aka smothering by your loving sis' and bro').  At your 2 week appointment you weighed 9 lbs and had grown from a 20in babe to 21in baby.  Sleeping is no problem for you (thank you!).  At first baths are a bit intimidating, but soon you relax and enjoy the warmth (it's kind-of like cuddling, right?).  You are EXTREMELY strong and love to hold you head up to look at who's talking/holding you.  How lucky we are to have you here on earth with us! (YEA!!)

 

Good Weather Fun!

What a glorious day to enjoy with family!  Grandma Nancy arrived on Friday and we're thrilled to be able to spend time OUTSIDE with her!  Chloe had her dance pictures Saturday morning so that's the reason for her super cute curly hair.  All Chloe and Porter wanted to do was to catch a frog on our day of adventures.  Thankfully, Ted the last pond we checked DID have a frog, Yea! We all got a bit sunburned and were extremely tuckered out by the end of the day.  Just the way a nice Spring day should be.

This is the only picture that showed Rainee with us... of course she slept most the time.

 

Chloe found a goose egg...you can see why they use that phrase with bonked-heads, they're big!

Barefoot Porter wasn't thrilled with wearing his flip-flops so, this was him going wild and free.

St. Patty's Day! (catch-up)

We had a fun St. Patrick's day.  Dressed in green. Breakfast nice and green.  Lunch-time at the Des Moines St. Patrick's Parade. Dinner wish the Grandma Lou and Sudweek family: Irish soda bread, corn beef~n~cabbage, green sparkle punch and green Jell-O... and Chocolate covered strawberry's (thanks Ted :)
